Things to do in Mararikulam

Beaches, temples, churches, backwaters and village lanes — local guides written by the team at Casa Marari.

Mararikulam — Marari for short — is a fishing village on Kerala's Alappuzha coast, about 15 km north of Alleppey. It is known for one of the quietest beaches in South India, but there is much more to do within a short bicycle or auto-rickshaw ride: festivals at the Kanichukulangara Devi Temple, the historic basilica at Arthunkal, and the Alleppey backwaters just 35 minutes away.
