Casa Marari
Wide lawn and coconut palms at Casa Marari — room for dogs to run

Pets welcome

A pet-friendly stay near Marari Beach

Don't leave the dog at home. Casa Marari welcomes well-behaved pets, with a big green lawn and two quiet beaches nearby.

Why Casa Marari works for dogs (and their humans)

Pet-friendly places to stay are still hard to find around Alleppey. At Casa Marari, pets are part of the plan, not an afterthought — guests regularly mention it in their Google reviews.

  • Space to run: a large lawn shaded by coconut palms, inside a gated compound.
  • Garden setting: rooms open onto the lawn, including a standalone Kerala cottage.
  • Beach walks: Chethy Beach and Marari Beach are a few minutes away and blissfully uncrowded.
  • Privacy: travelling with more than one dog? Book the whole villa and have the property to yourselves.

Tips for a stay with your pet

  • Tell us about your pet (breed and size) when you enquire so we can allot the most suitable room.
  • Bring your pet’s bed, bowls and a towel for beach days.
  • Walk dogs on the beach early morning or after 5 pm — the midday sand is very hot.
  • Keep dogs leashed around fishing boats, nets and the canal.
  • The nearest towns, Cherthala and Alappuzha, have veterinary clinics — ask us if you need one.

Getting here with a pet

Most guests with pets drive in — Casa Marari is about 1 hr 15 min from Kochi on NH 66. Read our directions guide, including notes on the narrow last stretch of village road.

  • “I had a pleasant stay at Casa Marari. The staff is polite and friendly. The rooms were clean and well maintained. It's pet friendly too. Wonderful place to stay near Marari beach.”

  • “We got lucky with a last minute booking. Property surpassed all my expectations. The road to the property is very narrow with tight turns. Once you enter there's plenty of outdoor space with lots for young children — a basketball pole, badminton court, pedal bikes, swing, and hammock. Carrom board and board games for those who stay indoors. Rooms were spacious, well equipped and clean. Bathrooms are spacious with a roofless shower which is a nice touch. They do onsite barbecue if you order ahead. There are restaurants nearby who will deliver to the property. Overall we enjoyed really well. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Would recommend for a large family with kids.”
