About us
Welcome to Casa Marari
A small, green and unhurried place to stay on Kerala's quietest stretch of coast.
Our place
Casa Marari sits between Mararikulam and Chethy beaches in Alappuzha district — a neighbourhood of fishing families, coconut groves and canals, far from Kerala's busier tourist strips. The property is a gated coconut grove with a big lawn, a canal at the gate and 6 rooms: spacious Deluxe AC rooms and a traditional Kerala-style cottage.
How we host
We keep things simple and personal. You can eat with us — home-style Kerala food cooked to order — or bring your own and use the shared kitchen facilities. Bicycles, a canoe, fishing rods and games are free for every guest. Pets are welcome. And if you would rather have the place to yourselves, you can book the whole villa.
What guests say
With 793+ Google reviews, our guests mention the same things again and again: friendly, helpful hosts; clean, spacious rooms; open-air bathrooms; flexibility with food; and plenty of space for children and pets. We'll be honest about one more: the last stretch of village road is narrow — here's how to get here.
Beyond the stay
We are happy to help plan the rest of your trip — backwater cruises, temple festivals, taxis and customised Kerala itineraries. Just ask when you get in touch.

“We got lucky with a last minute booking. Property surpassed all my expectations. The road to the property is very narrow with tight turns. Once you enter there's plenty of outdoor space with lots for young children — a basketball pole, badminton court, pedal bikes, swing, and hammock. Carrom board and board games for those who stay indoors. Rooms were spacious, well equipped and clean. Bathrooms are spacious with a roofless shower which is a nice touch. They do onsite barbecue if you order ahead. There are restaurants nearby who will deliver to the property. Overall we enjoyed really well. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Would recommend for a large family with kids.”

“We took the whole property of 6 rooms for a night stay on a family staycation. What stood out was the hospitality and cleanliness. They were extremely flexible about how we choose to eat — bringing in food, ordering with them or even ordering directly from nearby restaurants. Extra beds were given generously. They had a fridge and oven so we could bring in our food and eat it fresh. A small boat was available for rowing. Thanks to the whole team for making our stay memorable.”
