By air
Fly into Cochin International Airport (COK), which has direct flights from most Indian metros and the Gulf. From the airport, take a prepaid or app-based taxi south on NH 66 towards Alappuzha. Turn west towards the coast at Kanichukulangara for Chethy Beach Road. Allow about two hours. We can arrange a pickup — send your flight details when you book.
By train
- Alappuzha (Alleppey) — the main station, with express trains from across India. ~35 minutes by taxi.
- Cherthala — many express and passenger trains stop here. ~20 minutes by taxi or auto-rickshaw.
- Mararikulam — the closest station, but mainly local and passenger trains stop. ~8 minutes by auto-rickshaw.
From Ernakulam Junction (Kochi), the coastal line via Alappuzha passes through Cherthala and Mararikulam — a convenient, inexpensive option.
By road from Kochi
Drive south on NH 66 through Aroor and Cherthala. Continue to Kanichukulangara, then turn west towards the sea and follow Chethy Beach Road. Open “Casa Marari” in Google Maps for turn-by-turn directions.
By bus
KSRTC and private buses run along NH 66 between Kochi and Alappuzha and stop at Cherthala and Kanichukulangara. From the bus stop, take an auto-rickshaw to Casa Marari (a few minutes).
The last stretch: drive slowly
The final few hundred metres to Casa Marari are on a narrow village road with a couple of tight turns. Cars and SUVs are fine — just drive slowly. If you are travelling in a large tempo traveller or bus, please check with us before you arrive. Call +91 97470 30330 if you need help with directions.
